Here is a little bit about me.

I have enjoyed 25 years as a qualified and award winning designer and studio manager working for a wide range of global companies and brands. In more recent years I have freelanced as a creative director and designer completing editioral design assignments for major organisations all over the world.

With a lifelong passion for colour, pattern and texture, I decided to spend six months (pre-launch) working on my brand AmeTaylorGibson.

In that time I set out to evolve my voice, style and methods and to most importantly feel a passion and purpose in my work that will sustain and progess as time goes on. It is genuinely a joy to create and share my creative work as a print artist with you.

In March 2024 I launched and have been somewhat overwhelmed by the positive feedback. THANK YOU so much and I hope my designs inspire and rejunvinate your spirit.

I share more content including insights into my creative process in my newsletter. So if you want to hear more then please sign up to my mailing list.

Here is a sneaky peek at some of my content...

My design technique

To create my designs, I hand draw concepts freehand and then use a Wacom Cintiq, which allows me the flexibility to rework and refine by drawing directly onto the screen. If William Morris was around today, do you think he would entertain a Wacom? Probably not!

I enjoy working with traditional techniques such as watercolour and gouache and these mediums feed my colour and design concepts.

What is a Wacom? Why use a Wacom? What are the alternatives to Wacom? How do you create a process where you combine watercolour drawings with Adobe Illustrator? I hear you, read on...

Style inspiration

My designs are influenced by a wide range styles but decorative art and design movements including British Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau and Art Deco are always a fabulous starting point.

My style is to create a contemporary and colour rich twist on different themes such as; botanic, fauna, aquatic, fantastical whimsy to name just a few.

Why purchase?

My designs are unique and personal to me and each is created with thought, care and deliberation. With every purchase you are supporting an independent British illustrator and designer and feedback for my distinctive prints has been overwhelmingly positive. I do feel genuine gratitude for the encouragement and support I have received, you are amazing!

The finish giclée archival quality print you receive complements the style of my work and maximum effort is made to source paper and packaging from sustainable sources.
